Juventus tried to sign Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati over the summer, according to a report.

Juventus supposedly asked Barcelona about Ansu Fati during the summer transfer window.

The 17-year-old scored 8 times and signed up one assist in 33 appearances for Barca last season and has started the 2020-21 campaign in outstanding style, already scoring 5 times in 6 trips.

Manchester United were highly linked with the Spain international over the summer, with the Red Devils stated to be prepared to pay a considerable fee to sign him during the recent window.

According to Tuttosport, Juve also attempted to sign the youngster during the summer, with the Italian club’s Chief Football Officer Fabio Paratici inquiring about him during the talks relating to Arthur and Miralem Pjanic

Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that United have “never been close” to finalizing Fati in spite of the recent speculation surrounding his future.

The teen recently signed a new long-term deal at Camp Nou and now has a release stipulation of EUR400m (₤ 367m).
