    Turkey coach Konc dismissed from position

    The Turkish Football Federation announced on Wednesday that it had sacked its first national team coach, German Stefan Kunz, following his team’s disappointing performances in recent weeks.

    The Turkish federation said in a statement: “Following an assessment meeting with national team coach Stefan Kunz today (Wednesday), the board of directors of the Turkish federation has agreed to withdraw the services of Mr Kunz.”

    According to Turkish media, the most likely candidate to replace the German coach is Italian Vicenzo Montella.
